Illuminating your garden at night is so pleasant, especially in summer when it is finally possible to enjoy the coolness after a hot day. However, garden lighting is often not environmentally friendly. Installing energy-hungry lamps just to light up your garden for a few hours in summer is not a rational use of energy.

However, there are solutions that are low in electricity and at the same time create a pleasant atmosphere in your little patch of greenery. And since it is about controlling your energy consumption, the light comes from solar energy. More specifically, the lights with LED bulbs powered by solar energy.

Solar energy is the most practical solution because, on one hand, it allows you not to spend too much and on the other hand, it does not require electrical installation in the garden, a tedious operation for such seasonal use.

There is also no need to use batteries.

This installation offers only advantages:

  • Battery autonomy: thanks to solar energy, the lamp operates without a connection to electricity, and LEDs consume less electricity than a regular bulb.
  • Savings: No impact on your electricity bill and no need to buy batteries.
  • Longevity: LEDs have a considerable lifespan.

Indeed, today there are many lights that just need to be planted in the ground. They illuminate a pathway, both in summer and winter, when it is sometimes difficult to venture into a wet garden with slippery paving stones.

Some lights also have the advantage of turning on at dusk, so there is no need to activate the lights with a switch.

There is quite a considerable number of these solar lights, which can be chosen according to the style of the garden: from the most modern and futuristic to the more retro or rustic with wrought iron, for example.

Candle holder, warm lighting for terraces

Another way to naturally light up your garden without spending too much is to choose the option of tea light candles.

While this option has more charm and brings a natural and pleasant atmosphere, it has the drawback of being slightly less practical.

You need to light each candle holder with a matchbox. Not to mention that they sometimes extinguish suddenly in case of a gust of wind. Furthermore, the longevity of the candles is rather limited in time.

Ultimately, the tea light option is preferable for lighting a terrace, for example, because it provides atmospheric lighting that is best suited in this situation.

For more practical lighting, solar lights are the solution found.
